Faith Statement
By Rich Dolan
I believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Jesus mentions
the Father and the Spirit in John 14:26)
I believe that Jesus is the one and only way to the Father (John 14:6).
I believe that we are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2).
I believe that we are saved only by Christ’s blood and because
of God’s great mercy. (Acts 20:28, Ephesians 2)
I believe we enter the kingdom of God by hearing about God, acknowledging
Jesus as Lord, repenting of our past life, being born again through baptism
into Christ.
I believe that we continue in the Kingdom of God by continuing to walk
in the light. (I John 1).
I believe the Bible is the complete, inspired word of God. (II Timothy
3:16-17)
I believe that God set up the way He wanted to be worshipped to include
prayer, accapella singing, Lord’s Supper, and preaching. (Several
places and examples).
I believe God’s plan for a man and woman includes marriage. God
hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) and so do I. It is devastating and has far
reaching effects.
I believe that drunkenness is far from God’s plan and can not see
why anyone would want to fool around with it. (Proverbs 20, Ephesians
5)
I believe that God has given to men the role of spiritual leadership
both in the church and in the home. (Many examples and places).
