For the past eight years I have served as a missionary in the country of Ukraine. Five years ago we started a new congregation of the Lord's church in the capital city of Kiev. A native Ukrainian Sunset graduate will now begin full time ministry with the congregation. During the past three years I have also done extensive teaching at the Ukrainian Bible Institute, a branch campus of Sunset International Bible Institute. At this juncture in my ministry Sunset has extended an invitation for me to become more involved in teaching at the school in Ukraine. I have been assigned the classes of Old Testament History 2, Isaiah, James, Ephesians/Colossians, and Introduction to Exegesis. Additional assignments will be made in the near future. Rick Walker, M.A., M.Div. |
The combination of a number of factors entered into Sunset's decision to extend me this invitation: > Five years church planting experience
in Ukraine. An overseeing congregation has been located
and annual travel funds have been arranged. I welcome the opportunity
to personally share how you can join with us in this expanding ministry.
We are training the first generation of church leaders who will influence
Ukrainian Christians for decades to come. On the Road less traveled, Financial Needs Personal Expenses: $3,000 per month (rent, food, clothing, travel, etc.) Working Fund: $500.00 per month (office supplies, ministry related travel, interpreters, etc.) Ukrainian Bible Institute > Professional and experienced staff > Extensive two year curriculum taught by well qualified teachers. > More than 70 graduates. > Graduates are now serving in churches throughout Ukraine in various capacities. > Teachers involved in the life of the local church, preaching, teaching, mentoring students. ?
