Armando Alaniz Texas Gulf Coast Bible Institute Faculty Member

Armando Adan Alaniz was born June 12, 1947 in Havana, Texas.  He is married to Janie and they have 3 children:  Gloria, 32 years old, Armando II, 25 years old and Angelica, 17 years old.

Armando presently lives in Hialeah, Florida, where he serves as Academic Dean for Atlantic International Bible Institute.  He will be moving in the Spring of 2004 to Houston, Texas to help with startup of the new Gulf Coast Bible Institute.

Armando is fluent in English and Spanish and teaches New Testament Greek and Old Testament Hebrew.

Some of Armando’s goals are to teach and train preachers and leaders in a school that will focus on local development of churches and on areas such as Cuba, Mexico, Central and South America.   His desire is to be involved in a program to plant churches on the eastern seaboard states of the U.S. where there are millions of Hispanics in major cities with no Spanish church work.   It’s Armando’s objective and goal to finalize, in 5 to 10 years, a commentary of the New Testament and a literal translation from the Greek to Spanish.  He is also interested in publishing several books in Spanish. Last, but not least, he wants to finalize his doctoral in Divinity and enter a doctoral for Marriage and Family.

He enjoys being a part of a faculty that spiritually equips men and women for functionality in local congregations. With his degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, he is able to implement any curriculum with courses relating to Pastoral and Family counseling and therapy.
