Jerry and Mary Alice (Mac) Cantrell live in Deatsville, Alabama, a bedroom community of Montgomery, Alabama. After nearly 25 years in Florida they moved to Alabama about five years ago to be near two of their four children. Jerry was a local minister
for about 25 years before venturing into mission work. He served churches
in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, and Oklahoma. Most of his mission efforts
involved preacher training schools. He taught in Russia, Ukraine, Central
and South America, various European Countries and the For 11 year Jerry Directed the Guyana International Bible Institute in Georgetown, Guyana. During the 11 years, 156 students graduated from the school, and churches in Guyana grew from 23 to over 100 Jerry was responsible for establishing several of these new churches. Jerry attended the Sunset School of Preaching, in Lubbock, Texas from January 1967 to January 1969. He continued his education following Sunset by attending several Universities. He has earned a Doctorate in Ministry from the Theological University of America. Jerry and Mac have four children, all of whom are active members of the Lord’s church. Keith, is a YMCA Director in Prattville, Alabama, Kyle (also a Sunset graduate), is a Youth and Family Minister in Lake Worth, Florida, Kevin, owns and operates several Dunkin Donut Franchises north of Orlando, Florida, and Kristy, and her husband, own and operates a Pest Control business in Prattville, Alabama. From 1988 to 1994 Jerry worked in the “Three Unusual Day’s ministry with Jack Exum. Jerry traveled around the USA teaching on “Giving” and “Church Growth.” He was doing mission work during this time as well. For about 20 years the Central church in Cocoa, Florida sponsored and over-saw the Cantrell’s work. of the Seoul International Bible Institute, with Sunset, Jerry was an
Instructor with Sunset in their International Studies Division and he
