The Cline Paden Challenge

Cline Paden, founder and Chancellor of Sunset International Bible Institute, has challenged the International Studies Division with a plan of extraordinary dimensions. Its features are:

1/ Choose ten nations where we do not have Branch schools and select a team of ten teachers from Sunset and White's Ferry schools.

2/ Assign each teacher two specific courses of the SIBI preacher training curriculum.

3/ Each would go to each of the ten nations over a course of three or four years.

The net result would be that the preachers or preacher trainees in each nation would have the opportunity to complete a first level certificate of twenty courses in Biblical Studies. We would have upgraded the knowledge and skills of the leaders in each nation.

The three-four years program could pave the way in some nations for a permanent Branch school being established. It would involve men and congregations, a good degree of logistics and coordination, evaluation and planning. It would be almost a school within itself.

Once the first cycle was complete, or even before, a second and then third, etc. group could be selected. In time we would give leaders in most of the nations the opportunity to advance their Biblical studies, enlisting them in a new wave of evangelism and church planting.
