George and his wife Hilda have had a strong emphasis in missions since the very beginning of their ministry with the church. They spent time in Thailand from 1970-77 and again in 1995-97. George also did mission work in Ohio and Texas. From 1985-87, he directed the Thai-Lao School of Preaching out of the Midtown church of Christ in Ft. Worth, Texas. This was a Thai language school for Laotian refugees. George has served in fulltime ministry since 1966 and has always brought a strong missions emphasis to his ministry. He began his work with Sunset in May, 2003.

As Dean of International Ministry Training/Asia, George leads the International efforts to train faithful men throughout the nations of Asia. According to world population statistics, 2/3 of the world's population lives in the 48 nations of Asia. Currently there are eight Sunset (8) schools located in 5 nations. George travels to Asia often to consult with brethren and to teach in the existing schools. Trips are sometimes made to investigate the possibility of opening a new Branch or Associate school somewhere in Asia.

George and Hilda live in Ft. Worth, Texas. They have 4 children and 14 grandchildren.
