I THINK I MIGHT BE CRAZY!

A Poem by George Carman

I always thought my mind was good and that I knew my way.
Then as I listened to their words, my mind began to sway.
When I think about these things, my thoughts get kind of hazy.
It makes me wonder to myself, I think I might be crazy!

“Why do you travel ore the land to places far away?”
“You sit in planes and eat strange things and study every day.”
When I think about these things, my thoughts get kind of hazy.
It makes me wonder to myself, I think I might be crazy!

“How can you teach in other lands to those who speak so funny?”
“How can you travel oh so far with oh so little money?”
When I think about these things, my thoughts get kind of hazy.
It makes me wonder to myself, I think I might be crazy!

“How can you leave your wife behind, so dear, so brave, so true?”
“Don’t you know she’s all alone and that she misses you?”
When I think about these things, my thoughts get kind of hazy.
It makes me wonder to myself, I think I might be crazy!

Then I remember Jesus’ charge to take the Gospel there
And once again I’m ready ~ to go most anywhere.
When I think about these things, my thoughts are not so hazy.
And I know beyond a doubt, I’m really not so crazy!
