Royce Sartain comes imminently qualified for the task of serving as point man for schools in Europe. He has been married to Loveta since 1961 and has two daughters and four grandchildren. He attended Abilene Christian University, El Centro College, Dallas,Texas, University of Perugia, Perugia, Italy, La.Tech University, Alabama Christian and The Theological University of America. He has earned a Doctor of Ministry degree and is a 1971 graduate of Sunset International Bible Institute and the missions school. Following his graduation from Sunset, Royce has preached for congregations of the church of Christ, at various times, in Texas, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania. The five years between 1977 and 1982 found him teaching in the Whitesferry Road School of preaching. Between 1982 and 1989 Royce and his family served as missionaries in Italy and Ghana where he honed his talent in recruiting teachers and participated in training over 300 preachers. From 1989 to the present, he has been recruiting missionaries and helping them start congregations in the former Soviet Union and Scandinavia. He is one of the founding directors of the annual Pan-European Lectures. Royce comes to the Sunset International Division with vast experience. He sees this assignment as an extension of what he has been doing but on a global scale and with the Sunset team to share the load. |
